Milan, Italy, 20-21 July 2024

The 16^th TNF Workshop (International Workshop on Measurement and Computation of Turbulent Flames) was held at Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy on July 20-21, 2024 as one of five satellite workshops of the 40^th International Symposium on Combustion.  The agenda was coordinated with the organizers of 18^th PTF (Premixed Turbulent Flames) Workshop, and sessions on the first day were combined sessions (roughly 150 participants) that blended the presentation styles of the two workshops. 

The Proceedings follow the format for past TNF Workshops but also include the PTF attendees list and presentation titles (23).  Slides from PTF presentations are available from the  PTF web site.  TNF session topics were:

• Fundamentals of Premixed Flames of H2 and H2 Blends
• Chemical Kinetics for Ammonia Combustion
• Comparisons on the HYLON Burner
• Machine Learning for Combustion
• Flame-Wall Interaction
• Future TNF Target Flames

The TNF16 Proceedings (378 pages, 119 MB) are available for download in PDF format.  The PDF file includes a summary of the workshop, lists of participants, the agenda, PTF presentation titles, TNF session summaries and presentations slides, and 2-page abstracts of TNF posters presented at the workshop.  The workshop summary is available separately for download below.
