Heidelberg, Germany, August 3–5, 2006
The Eighth International Workshop on Measurement and Computation of Turbulent Nonpremixed Flames (TNF8) was held in Heidelberg, Germany on 3–5 August 2006 and was attended by 80 researchers from 14 countries. The main topics of discussion included: comparison of results on the Sydney bluff-body flames and swirl flames, progress on other TNF target flames, turbulence structure at the dissipation scales, new experiments and high-speed diagnostics, LES quality assessment, DNS, prospects for detailed comparisons of measured and modeled results for premixed and stratified flames.
The TNF8 Proceedings file (349 pages, 34.7 MB) contains results of comparisons on the Sydney bluff-body and swirl flames, presentations from the invited contributors, and two-page abstracts of all contributed posters. The 10-page Summary from the Proceedings is also available separately.
